For years, Animal People has dedicated our lives to rescuing, rehabilitating, and educating the public about animals of all kinds — from reptiles and mammals to some of the internet’s favorite animals… capybaras.
Most of our animal ambassadors are adopted or surrendered animals that needed a second chance. Through educational programs, homeschool groups, encounters, and community outreach, we’ve worked to inspire compassion and respect for wildlife while giving people hands-on experiences they never forget.
Now we are trying to make the biggest move of our lives.
Our dream is to relocate Animal People to a larger property where we can safely expand our rescue and education efforts, create more opportunities for the public to learn about animals, provide better long-term care for our ambassadors, and continue growing toward our future goal of opening a nonprofit sanctuary and wildlife rehabilitation program.
Moving an entire family business with exotic animals is incredibly expensive. Between transportation, enclosure builds, permits, veterinary costs, housing, and setup expenses, the costs add up quickly — and we have never received outside funding.
