As many of you know we were blessed with a wonderful New Years gift in the birth of my granddaughter, Ella.
She arrived 6 weeks early and is currently being monitored at Blank Children’s Hospital in the NICU. She’s progressing quickly but will remain under the watchful care of her team at the hospital until strong enough to join momma and daddy at home.
Her early arrival causes some problems for her parents. Robyn was counting on these next few weeks of work to catch up and try to pay ahead on some of her bills before leaving work on maternity leave. Austin was awaiting call backs for jobs that he’s applied to and will need to put off any employment opportunity until his little girl is out of danger and safely home.
Wanting to be near Ella while she’s hospitalized is Austin and Robyn’s concern right now. It’s an hours drive from Marshalltown (where they currently live) to the hospital in Des Moines so they are trying to get into the Ronald McDonald House for the duration.
Unfortunately they will need extra money to not only help with their bills but for food and fuel, as well.
I know how hard times are right now for nearly everyone but for the sake of this young couple and they’re pre-mature daughter I’m asking for your help.
Do not feel bad if you’re unable to help monetarily because we definitely need your prayers, too!
