Upon visiting family i Tennessee and visiting my dads grave site, i found his grave was unmarked.  When i went to office to inquire as to where his headstone was, i was told that we had to purchase a granite stone to place it on. So my dad has been laying there in an unmarked grave for 3 years. My stepmother told them the family could not afford one, but she never asked any of us. The price went from a little over $400 to $727 and change.
