We are reaching out with love and urgency to support Kurt Hester, who is currently battling Stage IV Melanoma, a serious and aggressive form of cancer.
Kurt is not only a loving husband and father — he is also the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Houston Cougars, where he has poured his heart into mentoring and motivating student-athletes at the highest level. Anyone who knows Kurt knows his passion, intensity, and how deeply he cares for those he leads.
He is the proud husband of Seana Hester, a familiar and compassionate face to many in our community. Seana has worked in the maternity unit for over 25 years, helping countless families through some of life’s most tender moments. Now, it's time for us to be there for her family.
Why We're Fundraising
Kurt is undergoing an aggressive treatment plan that includes immunotherapy, frequent scans, and specialized medical care as well as alternative methods and supplemnets. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses are mounting quickly — from treatment costs and travel, to everyday living expenses while he focuses on recovery.
This fundraiser aims to ease the financial burden on the Hester family so they can focus on what matters most: Kurt’s healing and time together.
