I just got released from prison after 8 years. When I was 18 I was with sims "friends" who decided to rob someone while I was in the car a block away. Regretfully, the victim lost his life.
After accepting my responsibility for the crime, I chose to forgive myself, ask God for forgiveness, and choose to turn my life around so that it all wasn't for nothing.
I was released on December 15th, 2021, and am finding it more difficult than I expected to transition. I have a job as a residential assistant in a group home for teen girls, yet I have no credit nor any savings. I would like to put a down payment on a car and I also want to start buying my own home, but it's hard because the last time I was in society I was in high school. If I can raise the money for a down payment on a car I would be grateful and also will choose to pay it forward in life. Humbly and sincerely.
