In today's society, the challenges faced by African American youth—be it violence, suicide, or incarceration—are deeply troubling, amplified by economic disparities, mental health struggles, and peer pressure. These issues often culminate in devastating outcomes like loss of life or imprisonment, leaving our communities vulnerable. The Be Creative Initiative is dedicated to empowering our youth by equipping them with the necessary tools to navigate these challenges positively.
Our primary focus is on providing alternative pathways for young individuals to overcome their struggles, including aiding them in understanding how to manage emotional triggers. Through impactful storytelling via widely shared video productions on social media, we aim to bring about a transformative impact.
Our inaugural project, "Who Am I," is an Affirmation Video advocating self-love and healing, symbolized by the release of balloons carrying personal affirmations.
To ensure the success of this event, we are seeking your support and generous contribution. Funds raised will cover essential expenses such as transportation and food, enabling us to reach a broader audience and spread the message of conflict resolution among youth.
