My name is Kelsee, and I am a single mother raising two wonderful sons. Like many families, we’ve faced our share of challenges, but recently we were given news that has changed our lives.
My oldest son, Lando, was diagnosed with scoliosis, a condition that causes an abnormal curvature of the spine. His doctors have recommended immediate treatment, including a specialized back brace, frequent medical appointments, imaging, and ongoing care in hopes of preventing his condition from worsening and avoiding the need for surgery.
As a single-income household, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Between medical expenses, travel to appointments, the cost of the brace, and everyday household bills, we are falling behind and struggling to keep up. Every dollar that goes toward treatment is a dollar taken away from rent, utilities, groceries, and other necessities for our family.
Lando is a strong, kind, and resilient young man who deserves every opportunity to live a healthy and active life. Our goal is to do everything possible now to help correct his condition before surgery becomes our only option.
He once saved MY life, so I owe him every bit of doing EVERYTHING I can to better his.
