Hello, my name is Diana Abuelouf and this campaign will be providing my cousin Eslam and her daughter a glimmer of hope in their desperate struggle in Gaza.
Eslam wants the opportunity for her story to be heard out of the many. In doing so, this will reaffirm to her that she is a person with her own story and not just another body in the count of so many who have lost so much. She deserves the chance to hope for a future still in this grim war.
This is Eslam’s words to the many faces of humanity. Thank you for listening….
“I am a mother from gaza who has endured losses no heart should bear. My baby girl passed away at just three months old. Before l could recover from that pain, I also lost my husband and soulmate. Their loss is unbearable for not only me, but for my daughter who lost a sister and her father.”
“Now, I am alone with my young daughter, living in a tent after losing our home and everything we had.”
”Everyday l try to be both mother and father, doing my best to protect her from fear, cold, and hunger.”
“I never imagined I would have to ask for help, but our situation deserves us to continue in seeking safety, dignity, and hope for ourselves.”
My daughter, an orphan now, stands in front of the ruins that used to be our home where we lost everything.
My daughter reaching for hope even as she is growing up in a tent.
A child who should be playing and learning ..now helping me cook whatever we can inside the tent.
My little daughter Dalia passed away after only 3months...
My heart is broken, and I need your support to provide a safe life for my family, which is now just my older daughter and I.
May God grant my Dalia her eternal light and join us all in the afterlife.
Every child and mother deserves safety and warmth. Your support can turn our tent into a home -a place of hope, safety, and life.
Your contributions will be providing our basic needs of food, water and clothing during this harsh winter.
Donate today and give us the gift of the simplest sense of security afforded to us. Thank you for letting me share my difficult situation as we strive to never lose hope.
