Dakota Elder Robert Eder has given his all in support of his community as a veteran, as a beloved leader in the Standing Rock NoDAPL movement, and organizer with many other water protection and native rights movement projects.
A recent crisis has left our Uncle Robert and his wife in an emergency, and they need our help. It's time to do what we do and make sure our elders are taken care of.
The Eders put their belongings into storage and relocated to Oregon on a trusted invitation to learn the hemp business, but that trust was broken, the situation unethical and conditions unfit.
Robert then suffered a stroke, and a financial and housing crisis occurred. The Eders will be homeless this week. Robert is 70 years old and unable to work. Their vehicle needs repairs in order to get them back home.
They need money for vehicle repair, transportation back home, and temporary housing while they figure out a permanent solution.
This is the time for us to be a community and make sure this Elder is seen through this crisis.
