My young student and his brother's mother has been hospitalized, and life support is ending soon. They both have disabilities and their mother has fought so hard to get them the services they need. Soon, they will be without her. A family friend is stepping up to care for them, but their needs are high. I am hoping to provide them with some stability during this difficult time.
An unfortunate update: Angelique sadly passed away this morning. Our thoughts are with her family.
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this fundraiser! I’m sorry I haven’t updated in awhile, but so many things have happened (as well as so many things NOT happening because of bureaucracy.) The good news is the other parent was informed of the situation and is doing their best to manage care for both boys. We are still figuring out many things, including support and care for the older son who has significant needs. We are working with Golden Gate Regional Center to figure out what that support might be. Dad’s wish is that these donations support his care. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for donating!
