My name is Henrietta White, and this is not easy for me to share. I’ve always worked hard, paid my bills, and taken care of myself. In my 78 years, I had never been evicted or without a place of my own. I’ve always believed in helping others when I could — whether it was offering a ride, sharing a meal, or simply being there for someone in need. That’s the way I was raised, and it’s the way I’ve lived my life.

This past winter, everything changed. I had major heart surgery and spent time in the ICU. Just 47 days after being discharged, I experienced my first eviction. It was something I never imagined would happen to me. Right now, I’m staying with my son in his one‑bedroom trailer, and I’m grateful to have a roof over my head, but it’s not a long‑term solution.

I have been approved for a place of my own, and my goal is to move in, get proper medical home care, and continue healing the right way. Once I’m stronger, I hope to return to light work — maybe virtual or something part‑time in person — so I can stay independent and continue helping others the way I always have.

I am humbly asking for help to cover my housing costs and basic needs while I recover. This is a difficult season for me, but I’m trusting God and trusting that there are still kind hearts willing to help someone trying their best to get back on their feet.

If you have any questions or would like to know other ways you can help beyond what you see here, please feel free to reach out. Your kindness, prayers, and support mean more to me than I can put into words.

Thank you for reading my story, for sharing it, and for anything you are able to give.
