This historic site is up for auction in my family's small town in south Ga. it's a staple in its area, and has been here since 1901. It's been for sale for a few years with zero interest, but is now hitting the market for auction this week on June 30. My family and I are absolutely in love with this place and we would like to purchase and save it, and convert it into a community space. I'm one of six kids in my family, with a mom and dad, and step dad. We are all artist, and teachers. My mother is even president of the local art center. We want to save this campus and preserve it, make sure it remains a staple for the community and gives something back to the people. We'd hate to see this place be bought just for the land, and the facilities torn down, we'd hate to see another Walmart go up in its place.. but would rather use this space to teach kids to play sports, to play music, to paint, and to learn wood working and building, to have them learn to garden. This is a beautiful local town that deserves a community center, and something to help breath some beauty back into the world. Help us save this building, help us teach the arts.
