My name is Kathern, and I am fighting to bring my son home where he belongs. Earlier this year, my son's father passed away, and I only learned about it a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I have been desperately trying to see my son, but his grandmother and uncle have hidden him from me and even made him say he didn't want to see me. For years, his father kept me from talking to or video chatting with my son, despite our custody orders. My son was told many times that I didn't want him, and at one point, his father even told him I was dead. I have worked nonstop to save money for an attorney, but every time I tried to reach out, his father would evade the orders, and nothing would change. Now, five years later, I am still trying to reach my son, to hear his voice and let him know that his mommy loves and misses him more than words can say. I tried to contact him on April 4th for his 11th birthday, begging just for a phone call, but I received no response.
I need funds to hire an attorney who can represent me in court and help me fight for custody. My son's grandmother is nearly 90 years old, and his uncle is disabled. They expect my son to take care of them and the house, which is not the life a child should have. With your help, I can get the legal support I need to bring my son home, ensure his safety, and give him the loving, supportive home he deserves.
I have spent countless nights crying and missing my son. Not a single day goes by that I don't long for his hugs and snuggles. It would mean the world to me if my son could be home safe and loved. Any support you can give would mean everything to us. Thank you for reading our story and for considering helping us reunite
