Consider mutual aid for A. after 2+ years in ICE detention
Dear friends & family,
I met A, a 30+ Central American Woman who fled trafficking and violence, in August 2024. She has been fighting her immigration case and her detention for more than two years. The cover photo is one of many coloring sheets she sent me with her letters written on the back. She was held in Aurora, CO, at the ICE detention center run by GEO Group for more than two years, even though her infant son was a thousand+ miles away in a different state and she was awaiting a T Visa determination for victims of trafficking. She has been unwavering in expressing her fear of returning to her home country and her desire to be reunited with her child.
The amazing news is she is finally free!
The challenge is that she is piecing her life back together, living with a friend who has taken her in until she can begin to support herself again.
Any small donation helps cover groceries, utilities, public transportation, and other personal needs while she looks for work and keeps fighting her case.
Any amount goes 100% to her and will make a world of difference.
Thank you!!!
