Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jeremy Betros and I am currently a senior at Ridge High School, in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
Although my course of study is academic, the passion of my life is music, playing guitar and singing. I have maintained a 3.74 GPA, in addition to my extracurricular activities. I have also been a volunteer at the VA New Jersey Health Care system, among other volunteer experiences for most of my life.
At the current time, I am a four-year member of the Ridge Marching band and sing in Ridge Concert Choir. I also work as a student worker at Liberty Corner School afterschool program.
I was recently offered the honor of traveling to Europe in the summer of 2025 with the American Music Abroad honors program. The trip will be for almost three weeks. The countries included in my tour will be France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We will perform six concerts for European audiences while traveling.
Our first performance will be at the Normandy American Cemetery, overlooking Omaha Beach. We will also visit Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, which is very important to me, as my great grandfather was part of the liberation Army in 1945.
The focus of the tour is both musical and educational. The cost of the trip is approximately $7000.00, including transportation, meals, and lodging. To help defray the cost, I am seeking sponsors in the area to help fund my travel expenses.
I am obligated to have a substantial portion of the tour payment completed by the end of January 2025. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in helping me achieve my goal of participation in the American Music Abroad Summer Music Tour of 2025.
