To support Mariam with Paypal - please send to @ElaynaWeems and put JUST "Miriam" in the comment - nothing else - no "donation for" not "Syria" nothing else please as Paypal could shut own.https://chuffed.org/project/122674-save-miriam-for-paypal-donationshttps://chuffed.org/project/122674-save-miriam-for-paypal-donationshttps://chuffed.org/project/122674-save-miriam-for-paypal-donations

Mariam has been stuck in a Syrian refugee camp for 7 years after fleeing from Assad's regime. When the genocide in Gaza began, the World Food Programme left her camp alone, and Mariam was forced to fend for herself with a newborn. Milk and diaper prices were soaring.

Recently Assad has been overthrown and Mariam was delighted to be allowed to return to her home, but unfortunately her return has been delayed as her area is bordered by mine fields and many have died trying to get back to their houses.

Mariam will return soon, and is looking forward to rebuilding her life and returning to self-sufficiency. At the moment she still desperately needs your assistance. She needs help feeding her family, she needs help affording medicine and medical treatment and right now she needs help URGENTLY as all of the money she saved in the past month to cover her family was lost when her former Gofundme was cruelly shut down, and those donations are being returned to the donors. Mariam is scared as she needs that money immediately.

Please help Mariam reach her goal. Please support her until she is able to get back on her feet. Every little bit helps. Thank you.

Thank you all for helping Miriam get back to a sustainable life. She is working hard on that. She has found shelter for her and her children.

The shelter costs $70 a month.

They also need money for groceries and medicine.

Her daughter is now old enough to drink goats milk which could be a one-time expense if she can raise $400 to buy a goat.

Otherwise, she needs to purchase milk continuously for her daughter. Her daughter has been sick with typical winter infections and still has an ear infection that requires medication, and fever reducers. Over the past two months these cost her over $700. Milk there now costs $7.50 a container.

Purchasing a goat is something she hopes to do.

She is very grateful for the help and said that after being treated for malnutrition her children are flourishing and she is delighted to see them doing well. Thank you for the lifesaving help you have provided. The family is doing well because of it. Please continue to help until they are fully back on their feet.

Miriam has been through an unimaginable ordeal. First, she was under siege by her government, then her government was overthrown, now her country remains uncertain as the dust settles, and other dust is kicked up.

During the siege, the World Food Program, which had been feeding her camp of refugees, pulled out suddenly due to other international conflicts, and Miriam had to fend for herself.

Her baby has struggled with health issues over the past six months, and right now is facing malnutrition. Miriam still needs help with medicine for the baby and food for her family.

Under the current system, Miriam feels safe to live in a solid shelter again, and aspires to build a single room and bathroom to house her family and keep them safe.

The room will need to be built, and the cost is roughly $10,000. We will adjust her goal accordingly. Money from here on will cover food, medicine,  and the construction of shelter for her family as she works toward regaining self-sufficiency.

Thank you for all you have done supporting Miriam. I trust she is in the home stretch.

Hello dear friends,

Thank you for standing by Miriam as her journey to a better quality of life continues. Soon Miriam will look for stable shelter for her family. Currently, her baby is still sick and hospitalized. Miriam had to owe several hundred dollars and has some ongoing expenses because of the medical treatment needed. Please share Miriams fund as often and widely as possible, and contribute what and when you can. Miriam needs us to stand by her at this time. We thank you for having done so in the past.
