As many of you all know, COVID-19 hit our household in the summer of 2021. As a result, we have had some very difficult circumstances arise in both my health and our financial situations.
For those of you who are new to our story, I tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in July of 2021 and was intubated and placed in a medical coma until October. Once I regained consciousness and came off life support, I realized I could not use neither my hands or my legs.
I have gone to three rehabilitation centers as well as lived in a nursing home for three months, away from both my wife and son. According to my doctors, I was diagnosed with bilateral wrist and foot drop and a minor brain injury and we were told I would be wheelchair bound for the rest of my life due to the severe and permanent nerve damage. Now, I am the type of person who, despite the struggles I have dealt with, always looks on the bright and positive side of things. I am a very strong believer in our Lord and I know that what has happened, has happened for a reason. I will not stop or give up on myself or my family. For us, I will continue on fighting this and I will prove the doctors wrong.
Now as of currently, my wheelchair situation is not too great of shape. It is falling about and being held together by some duct tape and since insurance will not cover a second wheelchair or any repair costs, we are asking for help in purchasing another one. As I did mention before, I am not giving up and do not plan on being wheelchair bound for long, but for the moment, it is necessary.
If you are able, we are asking for help in donations to cover our wheelchair expenses since it will be a little more than we expected due to being it a larger size. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
We both thank all of y'all for your prayers, love, and patience in my recovery process.
