I’m ok. I’m not injured or anything. This evening I was on my way to my gig and my car started driving poorly. I thought my transmission was going out so I took the next exit. My engine quit so I glided into a Wendy’s near the exit. As I pulled in smoked billowed out from under the hood and a passing car pointed at me and yelled “fire!”. As I pulled into the parking lot my brakes and steering stopped working so I hit the curb to stop. As soon as it stopped fire engulfed the front of my car. I jumped out leaving everything behind.the entirety of my solo musical equipment was still inside. The rear hatch was locked and so I couldn’t get in to retrieve my guitars, pa, pedals, mixer, costumes or personal items. The cab caught on fire instantly, I had just barely got out in time. I ran into Wendy’s and asked them to call 911 and asked for a fire extinguisher. They said they didn’t have any!!! So I ran back out and the people that I had passed earlier has come back to help me. We just had to stand there and watch my entire livelihood go up in flames. The car exploded twice before the first responders arrived. I want to thank the firemen and police for everything and how quickly they acted. Hoping to salvage anything at this point but my hopes aren’t high.
