Hello friends, family, and art lovers,
We are reaching out today to ask you to help our dear friend Shelley Mouber during a particularly difficult time.
Shelley has dedicated years of her life supporting the arts community in Northwest Arkansas, working tirelessly to promote other artists and organizations, while still managing to produce unique and amazing artwork herself.
As many of you know, Fayetteville has become an increasingly difficult place to find affordable housing, and a few weeks ago, Shelley's modest apartment was flooded and she was forced to move out almost immediately having much of her belongings damaged. She is currently in limbo trying to find stable housing. And to make matters worse, what seemed like a minor fender bender (thankfully no one was injured) has left her without transportation. She has suffered from chronic illness for many years. She is unable to make medical appointments, run essential errands, attend job interviews, or make it to her studio on Mt. Sequoyah without incurring expenses she simply can't afford at this time.
Please consider donating so Shelley can get back on her feet and continue to be an active and important member of our community. The funds will be used for expenses such as fixing her car, putting a security deposit and first month's rent on a place to live, and medical expenses while she weathers this storm.
We know that many of you are also in difficult financial situations, but please consider helping someone who has given so much to our community. We greatly appreciate anything you can do, including passing along any leads on affordable housing or inexpensive but reliable vehicles.
Much love and much thanks.
Much love and much thanks.
