To everyone who has ever loved someone deeply, to those who have fought alongside a loved one only to still face the heartbreak of loss, and to those who simply cannot imagine the pain of losing a child—I ask you to take just a moment to read Emiliano’s story
Emiliano Tesorero was a kind, compassionate, and remarkable young man. At only 16 years old, he possessed a wisdom beyond his years, a generous heart, and an incredible desire to live. His life was tragically cut short, and I received the devastating call from his mother just after midnight on August 6th informing me that her beloved son had passed away. I am a close friend of his brother Fernando and im trying to do my best to do anything I can to help his family through this tragedy.
No parent should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain of laying their child to rest. That grief alone is more than anyone should be asked to bear. It should never be compounded by the stress and uncertainty of financial hardship.
We have created this fundraiser to help Emiliano’s mother, Karla, with funeral expenses and to give her the opportunity to return home to Mexico with Emiliano’s beloved dog and the few precious belongings she has left of her son. In the midst of such profound loss, we hope to ease at least one burden so she can focus on grieving and honoring Emiliano’s memory.
