February 18th, 2025 Los Angels fire update.

Theres no words to describe the pain fire victims and other displaced people feel right now.
Our Third Wave Volunteers are still doing a much needed concierge delivery of aid directly to the where the victims are staying at hotels, Airbnbs and in relatives houses. ( A lot of driving involved).
The Concierge has proven to be very important as everyones needs are different and the larger aid distribution hubs only have the basic essentials of life but not the real other needs eg iphone plug charger or air purifier or nebulizer, gift cards etc.
Our ladies drive all day to get deliveries straight to the people including fresh vegetables and fruits.

We have set up 2 large distribution hubs- one at the Science of Spirituality Mediation Center in Pasadena to serve the Altadena victims. Our partners there are SOS, Operation Blessing and Jaguar/Land Rover Santa Monica who have given us a great space, aid land rover to help get the aid directly to the people.

The Agape choir joined us last week- They are a famous LA choir that Stevie Wonder sings in. They gave us all hope and made us cry happy tears to release the stress.

Our 2nd hub is at Creative visions in Malibu/ Palisades (created by Kathy Eldon an L.A icon :) the buildings around her are burned down but Creative Visions is untouched and a great base to set up a healing hub.

Dr. Alison and Kathy Eldon discuss needs.
The Creative Visions hub is to provide water/ reentry tyvek suits and goggles and help for locals in the Palasades -and is mainly a place for people to come to be uplifted in a calm healing relaxing space to do art therapy and/or other mental health exercises. The goal is to not only heal our physical self but hopefully our minds as well.
There has been deep trauma for everyone in LA.

And we came to the gates of hell- it was as if a giant beast had risen from the earth and scorched everything in its path. I saw that as a first responder in NYC on Sept 11th- 2001. (and in the recent Maui fires).
When I was a little girl, my mother taught me unconditional love for everyone ---- now that I'm grown up, I still have that love.
There's so much need; it's overwhelming, but we can start with just one person, and it always grows to help a lot more!
Sometimes a hug lasts 30 seconds and others five minutes- no walls, no discrimination- and in those moments are the most pure form of LOVE I have ever known.
Thank you to all our donors and volunteers - Please keep resharing this fundraiser. We have so much work to do.
Our volunteers have been driving aid all over L.A to where the fire victims have been staying at relatives' houses, Airbnb, etc.
Gift cards are also a valuable asset to give victims so they can buy what they need, as all needs are different.
We are also helping locate needs for Starlink communications all over LA.
Thank you to @Spacex and Mary Showstark and her team.
Thank you to @JaguarlandroverSM. ( Santa Monica) for the great donation of the use of their Landrover cars.
Love Dr. Alison, founder of Third Wave Volunteers.

Third Wave Volunteers are now in full deployment, with our volunteer firefighters in Los Angeles battling the fires and our local volunteers doing what they can to assist. This will all unfold over the following months, so stay with us.
We would love your kind donation or sign up to volunteer with a donation of your time at Thirdwavevolunteers.org or Alisont@Thirdwavevolunteers.com
Please be patient as we set up the plan, which evolves daily.
Ensuring the animals are safe and secure is also a part of our plan.
Third Wave Volunteers have been disaster responders for the past 24 years and were founded at the Sept 11th, 2001 attacks in NYC by Dr. Alison Thompson.
Since then, we have grown to over 30,000 first responder volunteers running large refugee camps, field hospitals, and natural disasters worldwide for the past 24 years (including the Syrian, Afghan, Venezuelan, and Ukraine refugee crises.).
We have worked for the past 4 months in the North Carolina disaster with long-term ongoing work, as well as in Ukraine, and building water wells in the Nth Colombia desert for the Wayuu tribes.
