Life has been a whirlwind for my husband, daughter, and me. Each day brings new challenges, and faith has become our guiding light. My husband, a disabled veteran, and I, along with our daughter, were placed in housing that was uninhabitable, forcing us to make the tough decision to send her to stay with my mom. That farewell was filled with tears and the kind of heaviness that lingers long into the night, leaving me staring at the ceiling, uncertain and sleepless.
Three months have passed, each moment stretching our limits but also fortifying our faith. The strength we find in each other fuels our determination to pursue new paths. We feel called to serve, imagining a future where our business ideas bring change and a church lifts spirits. This vision feels urgent, pressing us to create a community of hope and compassion.
Without a stable home, this dream teeters on uncertainty. We have been pouring over plans, praying for answers, and doing everything possible to gain footing. Yet, this journey requires more than just our resolve. It requires the support of a community, an acknowledgment of vulnerability, and a hopeful leap toward making an impact. Our prayer is to find the means to build this new beginning, a future where our experience inspires and uplifts others.
