This is a fundraiser for my best friend, JV. If you know him, you’re AMAZING! This man encompasses this word.
Born in Colombia, raised in Venezuela, JV grew up in music and the church. His mother sold homemade soda to pay for him to go to music school. He moved to America with that dream of becoming a citizen and a star! He proceeded to do just that, traveling the world and giving the gift of music to everyone he met! Well, mission accomplished and then he met the dream he didn’t know he had — his beautiful daughter and wife, Sophia and Christina!
They worked hard and they joined him here in America in May 2023, ready to take on the world… except JV didn’t know he was really sick. On the 11th of September 2023 he got some pretty devastating news. He has an aggressive form of bladder cancer that has gone untreated for over a year. They removed the known tumor and it was positive. We are attempting to get more tests and trying to find an oncologist that accepts his insurance (pretty awful task). In the meantime he is still recovering from getting the tumor removed, while we get his treatment plan in order. His wife does not yet have a Green Card. Seriously bad timing. It also disqualifies them from available assistance due to immigration status.
We are asking if you can help them get through the next couple months as they navigate this situation. Any amount is a blessing. And if you are unable to give please keep JV and his family in your prayers, thank you and blessings
