Jenn’s Overwhelming Battle with Breast Cancer – Timely Love and Support Needed
On March 15th, 2024, our dear friend, Jennifer Stern, was diagnosed with triple-negative, late-stage breast cancer. Jennifer, a vibrant, charismatic, loving 42-year-old, single mother to Luke (13yrs old) and Savannah (9yrs old) is fighting the hard but necessary fight against cancer.
Jennifer was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer, known as TNBC or Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. Unlike other types of invasive breast cancer, TNBC tends to grow and spread faster, has fewer treatment options, and tends to have a worse prognosis.
You can imagine how devastating and scary it was to receive this diagnosis. Then came all the appointments for an MRI, biopsy, oncologist, lab work, surgeon, more biopsies, PETSCAN, etc. It’s been overwhelming to say the least. The recommended treatment plan, consisting of aggressive chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, and radiation, was discussed and expedited to start immediately. Other complementary and supportive therapies were also put into place to aid in the tolerance of these strong, cytotoxic therapies.
The financial burden of all these treatments, even with insurance is another overwhelming reality. A reality that, as a self-employed, single mother of two, hit home very real and very hard. The financial hardship she is encountering is one that necessitates reaching out to our family, friends, community, etc. for financial assistance, love and support.
This next year is going to be an extremely challenging year for Jennifer. We ask that you donate whatever you can to help Jennifer fight this battle and kick cancer’s ass, so that she can continue to be a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, friend, family, neighbor, etc.
Thank you in advance for all your love and support!
