Hope After Trauma – Bringing Joy Back to Four Girls This Christmas
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
This past two years have been the hardest our family has ever faced. We have navigated profound grief and devastating trauma, and I am now reaching out for help to ensure we can still provide a beautiful, peaceful Christmas for my four daughters.
The first blow came in May 2024, when we lost the girls' beloved Grandpa. His absence has created a huge, painful void in our family, especially as we approach the holidays.
Then, just this year in March 2025, a car accident did more than just total our vehicle—it nearly broke our family. My 4-year-old and I were in the car, and the consequences were severe:
My Injuries: I sustained horrific injuries, breaking all but seven vertebrae in my spine.
My 4-Year-Old's Injuries: My sweet little girl broke her femur.
The recovery has been agonizingly long and difficult for both of us. The medical bills, loss of work, and the immediate need to replace our totaled vehicle completely drained every bit of our family savings. The combination of sustained grief and severe physical trauma has been emotionally and financially crippling.
The Meaning of This Christmas
After months of pain, physical recovery, financial stress, and emotional grief, a happy Christmas is essential. It's not about extravagant presents; it’s about restoring a sense of security, warmth, and magic for my daughters.
They have been so strong and resilient through my lengthy recovery and their own healing. My greatest wish is to wipe away the memories of this terrible year and replace them with the pure, simple joy of a festive holiday.
I want to see the light back in the eyes of my four beautiful girls: ages 13, 8, 4, and 2.
Where Your Donation Will Go
Your support is critical to covering the core elements of our holiday. Our total goal is specifically budgeted to provide:
Christmas Gifts: A few thoughtful gifts for each of the four girls to create a memorable Christmas morning.
Christmas Dinner: Ingredients for a traditional, comforting meal to share as a family.
Decorations: Simple festive touches to make our home feel bright and cozy.
Thank You for Restoring Hope
We know that everyone faces challenges, and we are humbled to ask for help. However, your support right now would be a profound act of kindness.
You won't just be helping us cover costs; you'll be giving my children the greatest gift of all: a feeling of peace and safety this holiday season, proving to them that even after the worst traumas, hope and community still shine bright.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading our story and for your consideration.
With immense gratitude,
Mother of 4 Beautiful girls
