Since 2006 we have been fighting for the Grandview Drive-in, a place where Families can spend quality time together while watching movies under the stars! After we lost our beautiful screen we began looking at options to replace it, quotes for a new screen came in around 250K... after years of searching we located one in Detroit and after purchasing it had to make arrangements to truck it's massive components back to WNY, no small task! we have had it for 3 years now, and have been trying to secure funding to install it, but the cost of steel required as well as concrete and crane rentals exceeded funding we qualified for. The price of steel has remained high so we have been unable to proceed so far. Many people on social media have requested for us to create a fundraiser so they can help restore the Grandview for future generations to enjoy! Personally We have spend a small fortune trying to bring the Grandview back, I hope some of you who feel the same as we do are able to help us complete the task!
We HAVE the snackbar equipment, the sound equipment, have access to a projector , really need the $ to install the screen to get the ball rolling!

To clarify, NO Charlaps do not OWN any of it, he is a Tenant as is Tops. The property is owned by a man from Rochester. we will lease from and hopefully purchase at some point. But nothing can happen until we have enough $ to install the new screen! No Screen = no Drive-in after all... Our small group has been working for YEARS on this! and the only reason for this Fundraiser is all of the requests for it by people on social media who want to help!
People, if we are not able to raise enough to get things going by early spring, we will contact each donor to see if you would like a refund of your donation (minus the 2.9% C. Card fee we got charged) or if we can let it continue to build and sit in our NBT Bank Account while we continue searching for more funding.
