UPDATE: TODAY JULY 2, 2026, 5:30PM ROGER TWIGG HAS PASSED AWAY.

Roger Louis Twigg Sr was born and raised in Maryland.

Roger is and always will be a U.S. Marine. Eventually when he returned from serving, he moved back to where he was a crime reporter for the Baltimore Sun for 33 years. Roger enjoyed his time being a reporter. Later he was even featured in HBO’s TV series The Wire. Before this incredibly difficult time, Roger enjoyed being an avid coffee drinker. Often it was his beverage of choice throughout the day. Roger enjoyed running and being down the Ocean. He loved being close to family. You could often find him watching the Ravens and Orioles play. He is a member of the Ravens Roost #25. Throughout the years he belonged to various groups including the Mustangs, Colt Corral, Blue Deer Sportsman's club, and the Marine Corp League.

He currently resides with the wife Betty Jane, daughter Mandy and grandson Laten. Roger is a wonderful son, father and grandfather. He was the father to five children and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Roger the kind of person that was easy to talk to and was always lending an ear. During this difficult time on hospice at the end of life, the family asks for assistance to be able to give Roger the service he deserves when he does pass.
