You may or may not already know me, I'm Brittany @msbrittanybuckley and I was diagnosed with severe pelvic floor dysfunction. It causes severe contractions often, requiring regular surgery. This is a lifelong disorder according to my physicians.
The pelvic spasms and pain make daily life a constant challenge as it affects my ability to do simple tasks like sitting, putting my feet up, laying down and leaning forward. My painful condition has never stopped me from pursuing my dreams, however as of recently, an unfortunate circumstance is putting necessary care at risk.
My corporate job abruptly ended my health insurance with no warning, days after a critical surgery. Despite approving my medical leave this year and health insurance prior, they suddenly rescinded, leaving me with little options for necessary care and hefty out of pocket expenses. Sadly, my Long Term Disability policy also denied me this year, despite proof of legitimate disabling conditions that affect my mobility.
As a result, I've been left to pick up the pieces myself. I am reaching out to the community for help. My upcoming pelvic surgery is in December and I have additional procedures scheduled this year. I would appreciate any donations to support my recovery as I believe in the power of the community.
