Our mother, Kristi, was recently diagnosed with ALS. Me and my sister have created this spotfund to help her with medical expenses for the last years of her life.
To know Kristi is to be infatuated by her strength, light, and contagious humor.
Kristi has served local communities like Fennville, and Saugatuck/Douglas over her 35 years of bartending and catering. Her customers will tell you they have followed her ever since they met her inviting infectious personality. She is loved and followed by many, a soul that has always shined and shown up; no matter the circumstance or card dealt.
Kristi beat stage 4 ovarian cancer in when she was 39 years old and later beat addiction and became sober. She is the definition of a fighter. At almost 53 years old she has focused on family more than ever during her second chance living a sober life and has became a Grandmother to Letycia, who shares the same birthday as her. She has loved every second becoming a Grandmother and being fully present to do so alongside her children and partner. (Cassandra, Nicholas, Violet and Ed).
Since 2025 our Mother’s health has declined, rapidly losing nerve connections in her leg that is now spreading to the other. While attending physical therapy multiple times a week to subside, these declines in health have made everyday tasks more hazardous, causing her to fall more and sustain additional injuries that are out of her control. Kristi has had a plethora of doctor appointments the last year and a half, including brain scans, MRI’s, EMG’s, and neuropathic testing. She has recently been diagnosed with ALS and has limited time left.
As we keep our family close during these uncertain times we ask for donations to help support our Mother for what’s yet to come medically with her last days/wishes. She is now filed for disability as she is losing her ability to complete everyday tasks safely. Please keep our Mother Kristi in your thoughts and prayers during this time. Your support is greatly appreciated as we focus on making her last days the best that we can.
Thank you graciously for supporting Kristi’s life, family, and last years. ❤️🙏🏼
