About Kids of the Kingdom: Kids of the Kingdom, better known as K.O.K., originated in 1978 at Emerald Avenue Church of God in Chicago, Illinois by Gladys Bennett. It is because of Gladys we continue to be a voice for children, providing leadership training, recreation, and socialization, which is ministry.
K.O.K. is a faith-based choice-based summer day camp focused on performing and literary arts. While at K.O.K. campers build ownership, social and emotional learning, agency, civic engagement, and growth – academically, behaviorally and socially.

About SocialWorks: SocialWorks, founded by Grammy-award-winning musician and humanitarian Chance the Rapper, aims to empower the youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement. Since 2016, SocialWorks has created 5 initiatives that present youth the opportunity to learn and act on their passions. SocialWorks’ programming focuses on education, mental health, homelessness, and performing and literary arts – directly affecting thousands of youth yearly. Through the initiatives, OpenMike, Warmest Winter, Kids of the Kingdom, The New Chance: Arts & Literature Fund, and My State of Mind, SocialWorks hopes to inspire creativity, build dreams, and advocate for youth success in all its forms.
This collaboration also continues Jordan Brand’s relationship with SocialWorks, which began in late 2017 with the donation of 300 pairs of Air Jordan 11s to SocialWorks ongoing OpenMike event. The shoes were handed out to the students that attended, thus beginning an authentic partnership between the Chicago-based movement by Chance The Rapper and the Jumpman.
