I never thought I would be in this situation, but I need help. After 10 years of marriage, I am now facing a divorce where I have no access to financial resources. My husband controlled all the finances throughout our marriage, and now that we are separating, he is leaving me with nothing.
In California, marital assets are supposed to be divided equally (50/50), but without a lawyer, I cannot fight for what is legally mine. I need immediate legal representation to ensure I am not left without support, but I simply do not have the funds to hire a lawyer on my own.
