The Malcolm family - Jed, Amanda, and their 4 children - Chase, Jaxon, Paige annd Piper are facing an incredibly challenging time. Jed's recent diagnosis of a brain tumor has turned their world upside down. After undergoing surgery to remove the tumor, Jed is now dealing with deficits that affect his daily life and ability to work.

As Jed takes time off from work for recovery and medical treatments, the family is left with mounting medical expenses and a significant loss of income. Amanda, already juggling the responsibilities of caring for their children, is now taking on the role of caregiver and driver for Jed's appointments and treatments.

Your donation can make a difference in their lives. It will help cover medical costs, therapy sessions, chemo, radiation, and the upcoming insurance deductibles. Additionally, your support will help alleviate the financial burden caused by Jed's inability to work during this difficult time.

During this holiday season, your generosity can bring hope and relief to the Malcolm family. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go a long way in supporting them through this journey.

Please consider donating to help the Malcoms navigate this challenging road ahead. Your kindness and generosity will be deeply appreciated.

**Thank you for thinking of this special family.**

I wanted to post some pictures of Jed with his family and friends so you get to know the guy and family we all love so dearly. He’s the fun dad, he’s the funny friend who will stop what he’s doing to help you if you need something. He’s the volunteer youth football coach for his son’s team. He’s the husband who loves his wife. He’s the guy who makes sure you’ve got everything you need. He loves all of our kids as his own and makes sure you know you never need an invite to their home. He’s a brother and a son who loves his family fiercely.  Most of us have had Jed and Amanda both in our lives longer than we haven’t. Here’s the family we love so dearly behind the diagnosis. Here’s the family you are helping.

Thank you to everyone who is sharing and donating! Please continue to share and encourage others to share. 🩢🩢🩢

Amanda and Jed have met with the neuro oncologist. They have a plan of another MRI and CT to map out the cancer cells and then they will be targeted with radiation treatment. This type of radiation treatment is very anxiety producing. He will be fitted with a special radiation helmet to hold him still so the radiation can target specific areas where the cancer cells are at.
He will also take a nightly chemo pill. This is the gold standard for glioblastoma treatment.
The neuro oncologist said life expectancy is 1-2 years.
Jed is focused on fighting and not becoming another statistic. We are rooting for him to be an outlier in these numbers and surpass the average.
Our focus as friends and family is raising awareness, helping raise money to alleviate the very real stressors that this reality brings to a family of 6.
please consider sharing Jed’s page and praying. A share can be just as important as a donation.

12/2- Amanda and Jed went to his follow up appointment this morning and unfortunately didn’t get the news they had hoped and we all prayed for.
The tumor is a grade 4 glioblastoma. It the most aggressive cancer of the brain.
This also means a lot more appointments, chemo, radiation and therapies. It will most likely not be possible for him to return to work.

Jed began having new onset migraines off and on for several weeks. Then at the beginning of November he started having numbness and tingling in his left arm and hand. It then progressed to leg and foot. At first it was thought to be a pinched nerve.  The week of 11/10. Jed’s migraine became so severe he was unable to go to work. He then tried to attempt work later that week and had to go home due to the severity of the migraine. Then the nausea and vomiting began and he was unable to function. On Saturday morning 11/16 Amanda took Jed to the emergency department. It was there that they discovered it was a large mass creating significant pressure in his brain.
He was then transferred to KU med that same day and awaited more imaging and surgical plans.
Jed had a Right parietal crainiectomy with mass excision on Monday 11/18. (Brain tumor resection). The tumor was sent off to pathology for official diagnosis of type and grade of the tumor.
That is where we will know how aggressive this cancer is.
