Mohamed is a very close friend of my late father. He has a beautiful little girl named Judy who should be in 6th grade right now. Judy and Mohamed are from Gaza, Palestine. Their home has been bombed twice and they've been living between the rubble of their home and displacement camps, moving as needed to try and avoid being bombed or shot. They've been lucky to avoid being harmed, but are without much, including food and supplies to withstand the upcoming winter. Mohamed is a kind, good hearted man who would offer you the clothes of his back if you asked, but he is struggling to provide anything for his daughter due to the cruel genocide. His only dream is for peace and the chance to rebuild his home and provide a dignified life for himself and his daughter. Judy just wants what every kid wants, to play with her friends at school, have her room and toys back, and have the peace and routine all children deserve. I wish I had the power to give them all they deserve but the least I can do, the least we can do, from the comfort of ours peaceful homes is try to help them survive until that becomes possible. Please donate whatever you can, anything helps.
