My name is Traeden McCoy, and I am a student at Onalaska High School. I am excited to share an incredible opportunity I have through my school in February 2027. I have the chance to participate in an educational and cultural trip to Peru.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience includes living with a host family in Cuzco, donating resources to a local school and participating in activities with students there, shopping at local markets, ziplining, rafting, and visiting Machu Picchu. Most importantly, I will be immersed in the Spanish language and Peruvian culture while building relationships with people from a completely different part of the world.
I am a multi-sport athlete and work hard both on and off the field. In addition to my athletic commitments, I work at Target and mow lawns to earn money and save for my future. I also enjoy mentoring younger children by teaching them baseball and helping them develop their skills and confidence.
The total cost of the trip is approximately $5,200, which is more than my family can afford on our own. Because of this, I am reaching out to local businesses and community members to ask for support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help me get closer to this incredible opportunity.
