Georgie is a sweet, spirited 1½ year old pup who’s already overcome more challenges than most dogs face in a lifetime. Rescued by his loving family at just 2 months old, he survived parvovirus and now lives with a rare neuropathy condition that causes him to gnaw at his own extremities.
This condition has already cost Georgie one of his hind legs. Now, to prevent further pain and injury, he urgently needs surgery to amputate his tail. Without it, he risks severe complications.
The surgery will cost over $1,200, not including aftercare medications and follow-up visits which is placing a heavy financial burden on his family. Georgie’s owner is committed to providing him with the best possible care and recovery at home.
