My family is blessed to have our sweet kitty Helper. Beyond her being an emotional support animal, she’s my soulmate-cat. I’ve never met a cat who loves humans more than Helper does. She’s always ready to meet new humans and get more pets and scratches. All she wants to do is lay in bed and cuddle us, and chase her laser pointer.
Recently, helper was diagnosed with feline odontoclastic resorption lesions. Essentially, one of her teeth is being broken down by her body, and it’s quite painful. She needs to get her tooth pulled as soon as possible.
Our family vet quoted us $1000-$2300 for the procedure, which is a very significant amount for us. Only one person in our household can work, which means I provide for 2 dependents on a nonprofit-worker’s wages. To get Helper the medical care she needs, we’re going to have to ask for help.
