I am a single, disabled mother of five. Life has thrown us a few curveballs, and right now, I find myself searching for a ray of hope. Two of my children have autism, which means a lot of my energy goes into ensuring their days are filled with care and support. On top of that, I struggle daily with fibromyalgia and sciatica nerve damage, conditions that prevent me from working and have left me deemed permanently disabled.
Managing the household expenses on limited resources is overwhelming. The cost of keeping the lights on, paying our mortgage, and covering essential visits to the doctor seem daunting on most days. Car insurance, phone and internet bills, and other monthly necessities quickly add up. Despite these challenges, my children give me the strength to keep moving forward. I cherish every moment with them, hoping to provide stability and comfort amidst uncertainty.
Asking for help is never easy, but it’s something I have to do for the sake of my family. Every little bit goes a long way towards lifting some of the burden we face. Your kindness could help us maintain a sense of normalcy and allow me to focus on what truly matters: being there for my kids.
