George and Kimberly are both profoundly deaf. They met at YMCA camp in 1977. They were fast friends after getting acquainted with each other. He made his promise to Kimberly after they were parted in a different path of their lives. As the years went by, they found each other again through Facebook in 2012. However, George and Kimberly are still best friends and soulmates. They have a strong and deep love for each other since they met for the first time.
When Kimberly found out her first diagnosis of esophageal and stomach cancer in 2019, she began the chemo treatments for several weeks. She was cancer-free shortly after the chemo treatments. In October of 2021, the cancer has returned, unsuccessfully. She was in stage 4 esophageal/stomach cancer that have been spreading out to her vital organs and her lungs as well. The cancer cells have been progressing slowly to eat her up. On April 1, 2022, Kimberly passed away peacefully at her home on Friday morning at the age of 57 years old.
This has been a huge sacrifice and determination for George to miss his work frequently because he took his own time to help Kimberly as much as he could, unselfishly. Kimberly has been battling against cancer for several years. They have been struggling to find ways to verify three best options for her medical needs/treatments, so it was an unfortunate circumstances about their financial needs with the legal issues/disability issues to work outside of their home and the medical costs to arise into a heavy debt. Their health insurance would not cover any expenses for Kimberly’s treatments.
We would be greatly appreciated if you can please help to donate for Kimberly’s cremation costs and medical costs to cover. Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
