Jayla was taken from a Greyhound bus by men wearing camouflage in Rifle Colorado along with some other people. They took her ID and refused to return it. One of the men told her if she gave him $120 they would let her go. Jayla is on the Autism spectrum so it's difficult for her to communicate when she is being bullied. She stammers.
We located her by triangulating with cell towers and determined she was being held at an ICE facility. ICE has had a field day interrogating her until she is in a fetal position. They will not give her ID back or her posessions, and just 'don't have time' to authorize her release; they make $187.48 per day to detain her. https://www.marketplace.org/story/2025/07/25/what-is-the-daily-cost-of-detaining-someone-arrested-by-ice.
Jayla has been a good US citizen her entire life, she likes to read library books and was traveling to live on a small farm in Utah and raise a garden and chickens. She has been living mostly in Ohio.
She is terrified that she and the six pretty young women with her that they are currently holding will be sold to be sex trafficked. She has been sick with an ulcer. One bologna sandwich a day is making her more and more ill. She is deeply depressed and suicidal. She has no idea why she is being punished.
She needs an attorney to help her get out because she can't actually fend for herself. GoFundMe money will go to the attorney brave enough to demand her release.
