As I was visiting a property a few weeks ago, i heard some little grunts coming from a concrete horse stall. There she was a little pig all alone in a stall surrounded by just 4 tall concrete walls. No food or water, her hooves at least 10 inches long. Pebbles has never been out to root or see the sunshine, for at least 2 years. Never been properly vetted. My heart broke i cried on the way home and knew Pebbles deserved a better life. She was surrendered to me and I arranged transport. As she arrived to the farm it was clear she needed extensive hoof work and care. She also needs to be spayed and vaccinated so she can be out with the other pigs on the property. As you know we are not a non profit. We rescue animals out of pocket without hesitation. Pebbles had to go to this specific vet in middleburg for her surgery. We were not expecting the estimate. We are asking for everyones help to ease the cost for Pebbles so that we can continue to care for her & others in need. I am in the works of creating a non profit rescue so that we may not hesitate for the next animal in need. Thank you for reading & any donation is much appreciated!
