For those who don't know our story, our journey to grow our family started over five years ago. After 2 years of fertility treatments, we chose to pursue adoption. While beginning our application process in 2020, we were surprised to learn we were pregnant. Unfortunately, we suffered a missed miscarriage. We took several months to heal and pray about our next steps.
In January 2021 we connected with Cathy at Greater Hopes Adoption Agency and we knew it was the right fit for us. We signed in February 2021, and the rollercoaster of adoption began. After nearly 2 years of waiting, we were getting discouraged by the long journey. God's timing is best and He blessed us with a beautiful girl when we least expected it.
The last week of December we received the call that would make us parents. We were home within 24 hours of getting the call - and our heads were spinning! We are enjoying bonding and learning to be parents. Our birthmother has requested a closed adoption, so we have very limited information. We love and appreciate her for this precious gift of life and respect her request for anonymity.
We have been overwhelmed by the amazing support of our family and friends! We have such a great community and are SO thankful.
