Rogue
"The horse that pulled millions into prayer around the world"
This story begins at 10am on September 28, 2022. Mallory called to check on Rogue with concern for a storm named Ian that was about to make landfall. Mallory was told that Rogue was grazing in his pasture with two bonded donkey pasture mates.
No one could predict how evil this storm could be. Immediately after the storm and as soon as it was safe. Mallory went to see Rogue and found he was missing! She pleaded for help from the community that was just destroyed by this storm. So many people were at the mercy of holding on to life with very little left!
I saw this FB post as I sat in Ocala, Fl and my heart just broke.
For 15 days people from as far away as the UK came together with words of support and concern for Rogue and Mallory. It did not stop there, airboats, planes, drones, people on horseback, on foot, search and rescue dogs all showed up and to no avail. Rogue was missing!
On the morning of 10/13/2022, a FB post called out in prayer and as so many replied as the day began...
Individuals saw Rogue's two pasture mates, the donkeys, were again in the corner of the pasture. They had been hanging there the whole time and that drew some people to search again through massive debris, and there was our boy. Sadness rained and the search was over.
If you were a part of Rogues journey, then I am sure you felt the overwhelming loss and sadness. So many came together during this time with such concern, love and purpose and for that reason his story must never be forgotten!
I am having an artist create Rogue story in a portrait that I believe needs to be displayed for public sharing.
Next, Mallory will choose a horse rescue to receive these funds in Rogue's name. Once that is established this post will be updated.
UPDATE:
The beneficiary of your donation will benefit Southwest Florida Horse Rescue, located in Punta Gorda, FL
The Gulf Coast was hit hard by this Evil Storm! So many need your help.
If Rogues story leads you to want to help others, there are many organizations helping and asking for help. If you would like more information you can search local radio and T.V. news channels website.
