Good evening family, friends, motorcycle family and rider enthusiasts.  It's never easy when a loved one is hurt and unable to have quality of life after an accident/trauma.  As most of you know, my fiance Rajah was enjoying his ride out to our friends house to celebrate our annoucement when he was unable to control his motorcycle due to debris and water on the road.  He spun out of control and wrecked into a telephone pole.  He was life flighted to Shands for his injuries and had major surgery for a shattered pelvis.  He was in ICU for 5 days.  Due to losing his high paying  job during Covid last year, he has been unable to find a job with benefits since.  I am starting this fundraiser in hopes to get help with his Meical bills, prescriptions, Physical therapy, food and covering his personal bills until he is able to get back on his feet.  Doctors say it can take upwards to 10 weeks.  He is currently in a wheel chair and able to stand with a walker for about 50 steps with no weight baring on his left side. You know it's always hard to ask for help.  We are givers, not takers. But I am unable to work as much due to him needing around the clock help with ambulating, giving meds, bathing, getting him up and out of bed into his chair. I am still unsure how much we will need for all the bills, but this is a start and hopefully wont need anything more. They filed temporary disability for him, but may take up to 3 months for approval. Our families at local pubs and restaurants will also be helping by donating gift certificates for a Silent Auction and pub crawl they are hosting for him to help raise money.  I will keep everyone informed when that is.
