Hello. My name is Tina and I am 59 yrs old. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal carcinoma in December 2021. I Finished chemo in June of 2022, had surgery on June 30th of 2022, and just finished 20 rounds of radiation last Thursday. I will now be followed up by my medical team every three months unless I start having problems.
It is very humbling for me to ask for help. I live in a small suburb in Northern Missouri and the only people I really know are the people I work with at the local VA home. I have been a CNA in the Dementia and Alzheimers unit for almost six years.
I currently have no sick time left. I have FMLA, but whenever I need to take off, I do not get paid. This last five weeks have been rou, and I am afraid gh with radiation and I've missed a lot of time. My checks won't even cover my basic bills. I have no savings and I am afraid that I will soon lose my house and car that I've worked so hard for. I don't have much family and have been trying to go through this mostly on my own. My medical bills are off the charts, and I live alone except for my 77 yr old aunt who I am a caregiver to and my dog. It is getting to the point that I am almost desperate for help. Like I said, I don't know many people so the GoFundMe that a friend set up did not get very much attention.
I hate asking, but if there is ANYOBE out there that could possibly offer some assistance, I could truly use it right now. My anxiety is through the roof as is my worries about recurrence, since my cancer is highly aggressive.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. God bless you all and thank you for reading this. ❤️
