Over the past 13 years, we together, have been able to help people in need all over the World! You & me together have helped people in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake; in NY/NJ after 2012 hurricane Sandy; in Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria/Irma in 2017; in Ethiopia in 2018; in the Gambia in 2019; in the Bahama’s in 2019 after hurricane Dorian; during Covid in NYC 2020; the people of the Navajo Nation and in India 2020 during Covid; the people of Ukraine during 2022 war; the people of Iran during the recent revolution of youth!
YOU always helped gather donations, your children had bake-sales, your teachers helped with drawing, and finding funding; you sent medicines and clothes, money for me to help young nurses and doctors to travel with me on all our *Love-4* Trips.
Now I ask your help to assist the beautiful people of Burundi, in sub-Saharan Africa. The population is impoverished. Mothers often don’t survive child birth; neither do their children. There is wide spread TB and all kinds of childhood infections. There are hardly any paved roads, or proper hospitals.
I was asked to help open a large hospital in southern Burundi in June. I’m trying my best to find doctors, nurses and logistical staff to come help build a wonderful House of Healing; where the dignity of all people is upheld and preserved.
My plan is to collect your donations and do something special with it for the Hospital; as a reminder that truly we are One Human Family. To show the Burundians that we all care! I will gather all your donations and help build a beautiful Maternal-Fetal Department. It will have all your pieces of donations woven through the fabrics of the curtains, the sheets, the blankets, the tiny hats to keep the newborns warns, etc.
