Hi, my name is Karmyn, and I am fundraising for my mom, Rhonda Preston.
My mom was recently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer with an unknown primary. This diagnosis has turned our lives upside down. She just had her first chemotherapy treatment, and since then she has been in and out of the hospital almost weekly because her pain has been extremely difficult to control.
Right now, my mom lives alone in an old, run-down camper in a trailer park in Byers, Colorado. The camper is not safe or comfortable for someone undergoing chemotherapy, and it is far from the city where she receives most of her medical care. Traveling back and forth for appointments has become physically exhausting, emotionally overwhelming, and financially impossible.
We are raising funds to help:
- Secure safe, stable housing closer to the city so she can be near her doctors and hospitals
- Help with reliable transportation, including hopefully purchasing a car, so she can attend chemotherapy, hospital visits, and follow-up appointments
- Cover basic living expenses while she focuses on treatment and pain management
My mom is incredibly strong, but cancer has taken away her independence, comfort, and peace. Our goal is to give her a safe place to rest, dignity during treatment, and the ability to get to care without constant crisis.
Any donation—no matter the size—means more than we can express. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page. Thank you for supporting my mom during the hardest fight of her life.
With gratitude,
Karmyn
