As most people know and if you don't you will after reading this, my dogs were poisoned somewhere between the day/night of July 11th/12th. On July 12, 2023 after our 9yo pitbull, Quad, had been throwing up all night and into the next day, at 1:30pm we decided it was time to go to the vet because absolutely nothing that we did made it better or stop. It just kept getting worse. After being turned away by our family vet and every vet from MD to northern/southern VA, we FINALLY were able to find a small, local vet, that was more then accepting of us coming in, immediately! By the time we had got to the vet, Quad was so sick and in and out of it, after running test, we made the decision that it was best to put him down. Now, mind you, we knew he had cancer and that he was SLOWLY declining. That is what we thought was happening, even the vet. After we make the painful decision to put our boy down, we take him home (family property) to lay him to rest. When we got home that night at about 10pm we walked in to what looked like a scene out of a movie. Both of our other dogs, Stella (3 yr old pitbull) and Star (7mo old Great Dane) were doing the EXACT same thing as Quad. Puking mucus, blood, couldn't eat nor drink, they had water diarrhea and also VERY bloody and nothing made it better. We immediately called the vet and they said to bring them in right away! Of course we did! Stella was so in and out of it that she didn't budge when they took her blood. She was SEVERELY dehydrated, also. Star was also dehydrated. They said that they had roughly 15 mins to "slam IV fluids into Stella or she wouldn't make it" so we told them do whatever they needed to do. The vet ran every test she could think of, did X-rays, CTs, urine, blood, etc. When they saw how Stella wasn't able to control her urine they said that was a sign that they had got into Marijuana. I told them that was impossible. There was absolutely NO WAY that could happen. Then as we were there and they got sicker in the hours we were at the vet, they said they are showing signs of being poisoned. That is when they decided to step everything upon a notch and ran even MORE tests. We got meds for worms, whip worm, etc. PRAYING that it was parasites or worms because it is a much easier, cheaper, and safer, fix. Nope, it wasn't that! Not a single worm had come out of them! They had to be on a chicken and rice diet for 10 days. We just transitioned back to dog food 100 percent but we still aren't in the clear. It has come back the my dogs were poisoned with marijuana that was soaked into antifreeze and thrown into my yard and others yards as well. They managed to get my mothers pup who is fighting way better then my dogs. They even managed to poison their own dog "on accident!" Yes, we do know who did it and yes the law is ABSOLUTELY involved!! I have had several people that have asked me about making a GoFundMe and then someone sent me this link! I have met some AMAZING people who are very upset about this! The vet is scared this could have caused "Addisons Disease" in Stella. If it did, she will need monthly shots for the rest of her life to live. We are PRAYING that she doesn't have it but we can't get her to be "well enough" for more testing. We need her to go without vomiting for 24 hrs, at least. We are going to need more testing for both dogs, they are going to need shots, and possibly more meds. I have exhausted the Care credit, savings, and still doing all I can! If anyone can find it in their hearts to donate, thank you so much! Any amount helps. Also, prayers are what is needed, THE MOST! They move mountains! Thank you to everyone who has followed our story. I will update with pics and videos as much as I can! This has been a horrible three weeks and I am trying my best to keep everyone updated! PLEASE watch your yards! WATCH for your animals dragging you to eat something because they think it is sweet. WATCH for brown patches in your yard. We have had the county come test our yard and everything. Again please pray our fur babies get better. My kids have not left these dogs side since the day we had to put Quad down. They have even slept beside AND IN their crates with them. We won't give up on our fur babies, they are our family!
