It started on Nov. 9th, 2022. Andy had been experiencing symptoms of nausea, weight loss and stomach pain. He went into see his doctor, who said he needs to go to the ER. It was there where they told Andy he had a mass on the top of his pancreas and it looked like cancer. WHAT!? 🤯 This is a man who is an active full-time Firefighter, healthy and was just splitting wood for the fireplace for hours straight a few days prior. Merry & Andy have two young boys, a house, jobs- this cannot be! This devasting and world-shattering news has turned their world upside down! 💔
It was confirmed, pancreatic cancer. Andy is looking at about 6 months of chemo/radiation as suregery is not currently an option. 💥 Not only will it be difficult, but the side effects are intense and scary. Life around Andy, Merry, and the boys won't be stopping. There will be medical bills rolling in, medicine that Andy has to take for the rest of his life, and everyday expenses they haven't had to deal with before. As their tribe, we are asking for help on their behalf. To know them is to know a family that would help others whether they knew them or not. They have Servants hearts. 🙏
