I’m writing this on behalf of my sister Lindsey, her husband Sean, and their newborn son, Conor Seamas.

While visiting the U.S. from London for the holidays, Lindsey went into sudden preterm labor in Florida. On January 7, 2026, Conor was born at just 32 weeks, eight weeks earlier than expected. After a traumatic and unexpected delivery, he was admitted to the NICU where he remains today. His length of stay is still unknown and each day brings both hope and uncertainty.

Because Lindsey and Sean live abroad, they are not insured in the United States. They are now facing overwhelming medical bills for both Lindsey and Conor, along with the need for housing near the hospital once Conor is discharged until he is able to fly 9+hrs to the UK. At the same time, they continue to carry their living expenses back home in London.

They are so grateful for the care their son is receiving but the financial stress has become an added weight during the most vulnerable moment of their lives.

We’re asking for support to help ease even a small part of this burden so they can focus on what matters most: being present for Conor and supporting his healing and growth.

Any contribution, no matter the size, means more than we can express. Thank you for helping carry them through this unimaginable season.

After 8 long weeks and one day shy of his due date, Conor finally made it back home to the UK! He shocked us all by sleeping for nearly the entire 24 hour journey. Mom and Dad have been busy getting together a nursery and finding a new routine with Conor as he settles in.

On January 4th we were admitted to St Mary’s and told we wouldn’t be leaving the hospital pregnant (but not necessarily with a baby). Every day of this experience has brought new challenges and it feels like we’ve climbed mountains to get here but despite the exhaustion we’re so thankful to have him here with us. We couldn’t have gotten this far without the support of this amazing community and continue to read Conor all your comments! He’s getting bigger and stronger everyday and will grow up reminded constantly of how loved he is from amazing people all over the world ❤️

Sending so much love,
Sean, Lindsey, and Conor

Conor has been discharged after 28 days in the NICU! He is doing great and getting stronger each day. His Nini, Auntie Hilary, and cousin Benjamin were there to welcome him in his new Floridian home where he will be until he is ready to make the trek back to the UK. Mom and Dad are doing great as well and don't mind waking up all night to be with him.
