Hi guys, i need your help. Most of you already know that last year in January I stepped out of my corporate job and moved to Costa Rica to embark on my own personal journey on the sacred medicine path. And what a deep beautiful journey it has been.
From experiencing deep healing with my family, to siting in many life changing Ayahuasca, kambo and mushroom ceremonies, this journey has opened me up in ways I never knew was possible and I am so grateful for all the teachings I have received. It wasn't easy, but so worth it and I now find myself with a burning desire to be of service, in whatever way possible. And as the saying goes "when the student is ready, the teacher will appear". I have been fortunate enough to meet an amazing man here in Costa Rica, his name is Chris and he owns a place called "The Living Library" where he is a stuart of over 600 different medicinal plants. Chris survived a horrific accident where 90% of his body was severely burned in a chemical fire at a plant he was working at. It was a miracle he survived! $1.5 million dollars in medical bills, and 3 months in intensive care in the hospital healed parts of Chris's body but left him with severe emotional trauma that years of therapy could not heal. And then he found temazcal. Through temazcal, Chris has been able to heal his emotional traumas from the fire and he has dedicated his life to service, to bringing the temazcal medicine to as many people as possible. His place, "The Living Library", is a sacred land, dedicated to plants and temazcal.
A Temazcal possesses deep spiritual meaning it is a way to connect with the cosmos, with our ancestors, with nature, and to explore our relationship with mother earth. Temazcal originated in Mexico, more than 5,000 years ago, and it was a way the indigenous people paid homage to the goddess Temazcaltoci, the goddess of medicine, highly revered by indigenous shamans. Part-sweat lodge/part-sacred ritual, at the end of this 4 hrs ceremony, participants have reported feeling physically, emotionally and mentally healthier.
And here's where you guys come in, where we need your help. Chris has raised funds to bring abuelo Noé Campos Yohualtochtli and his helpers to Living Library to hold the temazcal the ancient indigenous way. Abuelo Noe and 4 of his helpers (it takes a LOT of work to hold one temazcal) will be in Costa Rica for one month of wisdom exchange around plants, temazcal, cosmopolitics and carrying the sacred way. This is a huge opportunity for learning how to honor the indigenous ways, for personal healing and healing on a planetary level. Each time we sit in temazcal we send prayers out into the Universe for healing of the plannet, awakening to the truth that we are all one, for happiness for all the beings in the world, and for peace, and love to unite us all. These prayers are blessed by the spirits of the ancestors that are honored in each temazcal and they are extremely powerful. The funds Chris has raised helped pay for the flights of Abuelo Noe and his team, and I am now coming to you to ask for help to raise $3,000 to help us cover their expenses for the month they are in Costa Rica. If we can get 300 people to each donate $10 we can reach our goal of $3,000. Please donate $10 and share with 10 of your friends and ask them to each donate $10. Prayers to father sky for the "grandmothers" (the sacred stones that are going into the fire to prepare them for the temazcal). The fire will burn for 1-2 hours heating up the stones. The "grandmothers" that are already on the wood planks represent prayers to the four directions, and they are placed at the base of the fire.
